Linton Crystal Technologies (LCT) has recently hired Doug Hand as inside sales coordinator to support its parts department, which has seen continued annual growth. LCT’s spare parts department provides replacement parts or retrofit for any Linton, Kayex or Hamco manufactured Czochralski (CZ) process crystal-growing furnace. The department also offers technical support to help customers identify and install the replacements.
“Doug’s role is critical to our ability to provide the level of customer support we are known for,” says Gary Goyette, technical support engineer for LCT. “We work as a team to assess part requests so those who need my technical support can receive it, while customers who simply need a part can order it and get up and running sooner. This approach has made us much more efficient.”
Hand has more than 25 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering and sales. Prior to joining LCT, he was sales manager at Syntec Optics in Pavilion, New York. After leaving the company he served as a program manager in a contract position. His primary customer there was a division of a Fortune 50 company in the health care sector, for whom he was primarily responsible for production and metrology support. He also worked with customers in the automotive (Heads-Up Display), defense (augmented/virtual reality), and medical device (surgical theater) sectors.
Linton Crystal Technologies is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of equipment for producing monocrystalline ingots for the semiconductor and solar industries.
