Linton cited in 2024 report on European PV industry

Experts from Linton Crystal Technologies (LCT) were among those recently interviewed for a report, “The current state of the EU photovoltaic industry: An in-depth look at the ingot-wafer supply chain.” This was released this month by Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE and European Solar Manufacturing Council.

The authors focused on ingot and wafer manufacturing because it is, they note: “the most vulnerable stage in the PV supply chain in terms of dependency and difficulty to re-shore.” The report provides analysis of the primary suppliers (LCT among them) as well as key factors impacting the PV industry in Europe. It also delves into trends and challenges for the EU industry in a number of areas including: solar CZ pullers, processing equipment, fab automation, materials, and perspectives on the Chinese export restriction.
